Dear Friends,

Wow...I can't believe it's been a year since my announcement to commence blogging again but sometimes family and other commitments take first precedence. So, after a false start to commence re-blogging here we finally go!

Watch this blog over the next 6 mths or so. I will be sharing with you some exciting developments from within the internet industry...the best is yet to come. My main focus in upcoming blogs will be 'How To Make Money Online'. This is a burning question in many people's minds I know and there have been many frustrated Online Marketers quit because they just weren't making any money or weren't making enough.

Let's put all of that to an end. Let's discuss the myths and the facts alike and see just who is making all that internet bread and how they're doing it. I'll also share with you some of my own internet marketing secrets that have worked for me and dispel some of those claims about search engine rankings and how to obtain them.

For now...hang on in there. As they say 'Rome wasn't built in a day'!

Apologies for the long delay in blogging but I had some urgent business to attend to.

The good news is that both ecreations.co.nz & Wealthtuition.com are still holding first to third positions in the world, on the world wide net, for their respective search terms by business title. That is to say 'ecreations' and 'wealth tuition'.

How does this affect you?

Well obviously the better the sites do, the sweeter the deals I'll be able to offer you in the future. Smartsavershop.com (also ecreations.co.nz) is still going to undergo a radical rebuild. Wealthtuition.com is still going to be fully stocked with exciting electronic products. But you see I've added another site to the internet, which I'll blog about soon. I've done this to raise more capital for the site re-builds. I'll keep you posted along the way. Suffice to say that once these sites are complete they will provide you with a full array of wealth creation, shopping, entertainment and even night-life experiences.

It will be worth the wait, I promise!

Sorry for the delay in dropping our Package-101 'O.T.O' deal, but it really has been out of my hands. In New Zealand the Internet speeds are extremely slow. The govt has just promised a long overdue upgrade, but that hasn't solved our current problem. You see 1ShoppingCart.com times us out of the admin area after a set period of time. I must be mad...but this is what I'm doing...

I'm fed up with software being sold at a premium and then seeing it on E-Bay for $2 - $5!
I mean...what did these idiots think they were doing???

Truth is...there's more to this than meets the eye. You see...they've been using the old formula of low profit high turnover. You do the maths. Move 1000 pieces of software per week at $2 and pull a six figure income. Or...move 50 pieces of software per week at say $25 each and make just $60,000 p.a! Which would you do?

Of course, there's a danger that great selling software gets devalued so much that nobody buys it. That's why I've decided to offer each component software package from within 'Package 101' for just $2, but not the latest release software being added to the 'Private Members Area'.

My apologies again for the gap in blogging. I've been pressed for time. There are quite a few components to consider when putting a successful project together. Today I'm starting the first in a series of 'insight tutorials', to let newbies in on what they have to be prepared to do, in order to achieve success on the internet.

I'll try to stick to 1 day towards the end of the week and there will be just one tutorial per week. Also the tutorials will be brief and to the point, as I know how little time we all have these days.

The tutorials are quite simply called: 'Online Wealth Tuition'. I've chosen this title as it reflects 2 important aspects of what we're trying to do here.

1. You need a 'voice' on the Internet. That is, others need to get to know you/your company.
2. You need a top Google Ranking. Google is the pinnacle of SEO (search engine optimization).

It goes without saying that the two are symbiotic and also very dependent on one another. But just how do we go about getting known on the internet?

I've outlined two methods below

Optimization: If you can put aside $80 - $120 you're half way there. SEO software is the quickest way to obtain a web presence. Maximising your web pages and in particular your homepage will raise your ranking on the search engines. Your pages are crawled by robots. These robots automatically crawl through and record every point of detail on every page of your web site that is crawled. This is known as 'indexing'. A poorly optimized page will be reflected in the low ranking that your site will achieve on the search engines. A highly optimized page, quite the opposite. Optimization may seem like a daunting task at first. However, with good SEO software it's practically a breeze. When I started optimizing my sites, several years ago, I had no 'web presence' at all and traffic was slow. I purchased SEO Software Traffic Travis and set about optimizing. Ecreations.co.nz, also hosted at smartsavershop.com, will soon be re-optimized to web 2.0 standards. I've not been too concerned until now, as I've been spending more time on developing the sites' direction. It currently holds a first page ranking for company name 'ecreations'. However, it's important to note something here: A ranking for company name, although great for making sure your customers find you, is a good start. However, if it's a great 'web presence' you want and a ton of traffic, you need to be optimized for 'search terms'. These are words and terms that are 'site' and 'content' friendly. Your SEO software will find the correct terms for you, so it's not too daunting a task. All you have to do is place these terms within your web pages and in addition within your metatags. Note: Content must be relevant. Choosing search terms that are high in 'hits' from within the search engines, that is to say many people have entered that into their browser or 'googled' it as is often said, does not guarantee you a high amount of traffic if those terms are not pertinent to your sites' purpose. For example. If you placed the word 'shrubs' throughout your site, because 'shrubs' might be getting a lot of hits that month and your site was selling automobiles then the robots would look down on your site. This can give it a negative ranking and this would be detrimental to your objective so make all of your content, or as much as is possible, relevant to your sites' purpose. Placing links to important sites and hot stories on the web is another way to drive more traffic to your site. Using Traffic Travis has pushed one of my sites http://www.wealthtuition.com to a top position on the search engines. Recently ranked at No.1 on Google, it is now being resubmitted. You will find that your submission will drop off some search engines after 30 days. A heavy workload can take this toll. Consider joining this site that I will be using to keep submission current. They will take care of all of that for you so that you're free to do other things, isubmit.com. Wealthtuition.com is currently ranked No.1 at Yahoo and Altavista (Yahoo administrates Altavista) and has been resubmitted to Msn and other major search engines. It is currently up for sale if any of my readers are interested in a hot purchase. It has huge potential in the 'Financial', 'Self Employment' and 'Self Improvement' internet arenas and the possibilities are endless. This brings me to my last point here. Choosing a great domain name is important. Recently Pizza.com was sold for $2.6 million. Yet it was bought back in 1994 by Chris Clark for just $20! That's not a bad return huh! Forums/Blogs: Leave your comments at other peoples' Web Forums and Blogs. Make sure your comments are short, to the point and relevant to the sites' purpose. Most sites will not frown on you for leaving your web sites' link after your comments. Make sure your comments are composed in a story or pertinent to the subject or you may be accused of 'spamming'. Leaving your 'mark' will create 'backlinks' to your site from others' sites. Backlink traffic can be very valuable, especially when coming from a high-ranking site such as Youtube!

Some good news for you at the end!

Wow...it's been a hard year! I don't want to get in deep. Suffice to say that between seriously torn foot tendons, extensive physio, shifting home and office etc, etc, the business has been suffering and I'm just kickin' the flu this week too.

However...remember, when you're down...you can only go one way, and that's up!

In business, it's important to ride out the waves. If you can't then you'll never make it. That's the cold hard reality in this world. It's not uncommon to work a twelve hour day, 6 days a week and then some, although I try to keep Sundays for the spirit.

With hard work and dedication, you'll find that I'll deliver on my promise to turn Smartsavershop.com into the Number 1 E-tailer on the web. Granted that I've had a few delays along the way, the site will slowly develop into something we can all be proud of and use to our advantage on a daily basis, as a community.

With that in mind, I've also restructured Wealthtuition.com in order to make available to you a package of Wealth Creation material that will knock your socks off for a price that's a lot more affordable to every Internet Amateur or Pro alike.

If a person visits your website and leaves, chances are that he or she will not come back, especially if there are no compelling reasons to do so. After all, we all behave rather impulsively on the Internet, so much so that we can easily forget where we were 10 web pages ago.

But the bottom line is that your visitor may not come back to your website again. If 1,000 visitors visit your website, leave and never come back again, you can imagine the amount of potential revenue lost, simply because they do not come back. You could have converted a fraction of the visitors into your customers.

Some may say that creating unique content can keep some of the visitors coming back, but very often, unique content is not the solution. The real, long-term solution lies in converting your visitors into subscribers of your mailing list.

Before your visitor leaves your website, you want to convert him or her into your subscriber via a simple opt-in to your mailing list. You do this by asking for your visitor’s name and email address through your opt-in form.

And if your visitor signs up to be on your mailing list, you can still follow up with him via email. You can get your subscriber to consider your offer, or endorse another offer to him or her.

All in all, you want to convert as many visitors into subscribers as possible and obtain the potential revenue you rightfully deserve – the easy, wise way.

5 Important Rules in Website Design

When it comes to your website, extra attention should be paid to every minute detail to make sure it performs optimally to serve its purpose. Here are seven important rules of thumb to observe to make sure your website performs well.

1) Do not use splash pages

Splash pages are the first pages you see when you arrive at a website. They normally have a very beautiful image with words like "welcome" or "click here to enter". In fact, they are just that -- pretty vases with no real purpose. Do not let your visitors have a reason to click on the "back" button! Give them the value of your site up front without the splash page. Of course, you can still use a 'Pop up' Subscriber Data Box to collect subscriber data for your List, although the customer should still be able to access the main Homepage to your site, underneath the 'Opt-in' box.

2) Do not use excessive banner advertisements

Even the least net savvy people have trained themselves to ignore banner advertisements so you will be wasting valuable website real estate. Instead, provide more valuable content and weave relevant affiliate links into your content, and let your visitors feel that they want to buy instead of being pushed to buy.

3) Have a simple and clear navigation

You have to provide a simple and very straightforward navigation menu so that even a young child will know how to use it. Stay away from complicated Flash based menus or multi-tiered drop down menus. If your visitors don't know how to navigate, they will leave your site.

4) Have a clear indication of where the user is

When visitors are deeply engrossed in browsing your site, you will want to make sure they know which part of the site they are in at that moment. That way, they will be able to browse relevant information or navigate to any section of the site easily. Don't confuse your visitors because confusion means "abandon ship"!

5) Avoid using audio on your site

If your visitor is going to stay a long time at your site, reading your content, you will want to make sure they're not annoyed by some audio looping on and on on your website. If you insist on adding audio, make sure they have some control over it -- volume or muting controls would work fine.

Rebates – Reward or Rip Off?

Rebates have become increasingly popular in the last few years on a lot of items and certainly on electronic items and computers. Rebates of $20, $50 or $100 are not uncommon.

I’ve even seen items advertised as “free after rebate”. Do these rebates come under the heading of “too good to be true”? Some of them do and there are “catches” to watch out for but if you are careful, rebates can help you get some really good deals.

The way a rebate works is that you pay the listed price for an item then mail in a form and the bar code to the manufacturer and they send you a refund thus reducing the price of what you paid for the item except with a time delay of several weeks.

Rule #1. Rebates from reputable companies are usually just fine.

You can be pretty sure you will get the promised rebate from Best Buy, Amazon or Dell but you should probably not count on getting one from a company you’ve never heard of. If you really want the product and are OK with paying the price listed then buy it but don’t count on actually getting the refund.

Rule #2. Check rebate expiration dates.

Many times products will stay on the shelf of a retailer after the date for sending in the rebate offer has expired so check that date carefully.

Rule #3. Be sure you have all the forms required to file for the rebate before you leave the store.

Rebates will almost always require a form to be filled out, a receipt for the purchase and a bar code.

Rule #4. Back up your rebate claim.

Make copies of everything you send in to get your rebate including the bar code. Stuff gets lost in the mail all the time and if the rebate is for $50 it’s worth the trouble to back up your claim.

Avoiding Impulse Spending

Answer these questions truthfully:

1.) Does your spouse or partner complain that you spend too much money?

2.) Are you surprised each month when your credit card bill arrives at how much more you charged than you thought you had?

3.) Do you have more shoes and clothes in your closet than you could ever possibly wear?

4.) Do you own every new gadget before it has time to collect dust on a retailer’s shelf?

5.) Do you buy things you didn’t know you wanted until you saw them on display in a store?

If you answered “yes” to any two of the above questions, you are an impulse spender and indulge yourself in retail therapy.

This is not a good thing. It will prevent you from saving for the important things like a house, a new car, a vacation or retirement. You must set some financial goals and resist spending money on items that really don’t matter in the long run.

Impulse spending will not only put a strain on your finances but your relationships, as well. To overcome the problem, the first thing to do is learn to separate your needs from your wants.

Advertisers blitz us hawking their products at us 24/7. The trick is to give yourself a cooling-off period before you buy anything that you have not planned for.

When you go shopping, make a list and take only enough cash to pay for what you have planned to buy. Leave your credit cards at home.

If you see something you think you really need, give yourself two weeks to decide if it is really something you need or something you can easily do without. By following this simple solution, you will mend your financial fences and your relationships.

The Software Library was delayed for a short while. I decided to move it to its own stand alone Server. It will be able to deal with more traffic, as the Library fills and gets used more. Therefore, there will be no disruptions changing it at a later date.

New Mp3 Players will be arriving in time for the Christmas Shopping Rush. These are Great players at a Fantastic Price, and not your usual run of the mill designs. The entire MP3 and MP4 Areas will be revamped. Thanks to a drop in Freight, due to the addition of Air Freight from one of our suppliers, all prices will be dropping. The latest stock to arrive will be even more fairly priced, as they were sourced from another supplier.

Well...it's not the end of the world...at least not yet! No...I've just been way laid a bit with a lung infection. Well...I got past the torn tendons in the foot, although it's still healing after 5 months, and I'll get over this too! This is why, in their infinite bid for cruelty towards many Web Masters, our ranking dropped from a 4 to a 1, thanks to a Google reshuffle, which was so severe that it put many AdSense Sites out of business.

Mmm...the powers to be Google...you never know who may be next!

A Blog today, in remembrance of all those who lost their lives in the 911 disaster. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to them, and of course to their families and friends. My apologies for being a day or two late.

We can remember how they touched the lives of many, whilst here on Earth, and pay due diligence to putting new measures in place, to make sure a repeat of this event can not ever happen again.

There is also something else we should consider. You see...I don't believe we should just put this down to Global Terrorism. To do that would be too simple, given the mounting evidence, which backs the theories of many conspiracy writers and investigators. We owe the truth, not just to those who died, but also to ourselves. I can not make up your mind for you on such matters. However, take a look again at a past Blog I posted and leave me your thoughts and opinions. Those who saw the Documentary would have to agree that there is more to this event than meets the eye. Hi, hope you all had a great day, or are having a great day.

We need to ask ourselves now and again...what is money really in relation to happiness? I mean, the person living on the street may be happier than most of us...right?

I'm not advocating that living on the street is the bees knees. Certainly there are no doubt millions around the world in that position, just looking for a way out...a better way!

But let's face facts. There are also millions of people, in all parts of the world, who are either middle class or even affluent, and are still unhappy. My point is this. We need to learn how to be happy without Financial Freedom, before we can even begin to be happy with it. If we can't rise and greet each new day, feeling blessed, and be happy for what we do have...how do we expect to ever be able to successfully manage more?

It's true that in this modern technical era, there are a growing number of Individuals who are never happy with what they have, even when they attain more! We need to Ground ourselves and focus on reality. We aren't what we own. We are what we do and the way we think.

This may sound strange, coming from a guy who promotes a Shopping Site, and that brings me to my point. You see...you need to know why I started Smartsaversshop.com in the first place. I believe that Consumerism has gone rapant in recent years, and that this is putting a strain on our budgets. I'm as much as a Gadget Freak as any of you and there's nothing wrong with having some fun with life, if you are blessed enough to do so. However, I also believe that Capital Greed, or more to the point Corporate Greed is wrong.

It's fine to promote Goods and Services to the World's populace and profit. After all, that's why we're in business right? Yet why can't goods and services cater more to the masses, and not just to those in the middle to higher class income brackets. Shouldn't everyone be able to afford to spend their money on something that makes them happy?

I would encourage everyone to donate at least 10% of their Earnings, as I do, to some sort of Worthwhile Charity. This can bring Great Rewards and Blessings into your Personal Life, and make some less fortunate Individual Happier than you could ever imagine. Try it and see for yourself. Even if it puts a strain on your budget. You'll be surprised to see how it has a 'Law of Giving - Return Effect' at some point further on down the track...and the joy it brings to the Other Person is of course the Main Reward!

So...that said. I went about creating a Web Site that can do just that.

The First Objective was to bring the average consumer closer to what they can afford to spend.
The Second Objective was to teach consumers how they can use the money they've saved to increase the 'Prosperity' or 'Blessing Flow' of others, whilst also increasing their own Wealth in the process. Thus, providing a better life for themselves when they retire and helping someone else along the way.

Smartsaversshop.com may still be in its initial early stages in achieving this. Yet, as time goes on you'll see the direction we're heading in more clearly, and get behind us to beat down Corporate Greed and the Monopolisation of Goods and Services. There are limitless numbers of Companies on the Internet now, all striving for a larger slice of the Cake. In the past this has been viewed as a bad thing. Yet from History, we have also learned that it can be beneficial. That's what we should be aiming for in today's 'driven' era. We should be using competition to its Full Benefit.

What a Storm! Apologies to our Blog Readers for the gap, but we've all been busy getting through the storm. Of course, its small in comparison to recent overseas storms, yet large on New Zealand's scale.

Eventually Smartsaversshop.com will operate much like Second-Life, with Consumers being able to pass from one Level of a Mall to another. Although I decided, in keeping with realism, that you will have to walk around the Mall rather than fly.

A Plan is coming together that will take another few years to correctly implement. This plan will mean you will be able to download information straight to your new 'Apple i-phone' or whatever GPS phone you should choose. This information will provide you with location maps to shops you wish to visit in your area, or outside of your area in another part of the world. Once you have located an item of interest at our Site, you can simply punch in the co-ordinates we give you and Bingo...you'll be taken straight to a shop in your area for your purchase.

The first question that springs to mind for many is...why would I do this when I can simply Buy the same item on the Internet, through Smartsaversshop.com, or any one of the Portals we are hooking you up with, at Wholesale Prices?

Whoops...first I'd like to apologise to you all. I promised you a link to the Fantastic Free Html Editor that I always use, and forgot. You won't need to Design your own Site, should you use our Affiliate Program. However, if you do wish to go down that road, it's a lot easier than you think. Here's what you do. You download a Good Free Html Editor, I'll give you a link to a great one in tomorrow's Blog. Then you load into it someone Else's Web Page. Experiment with Cutting and Pasting, and you'll soon see what works. The most important aspect to remember is that you must load it to a Server to trial it, as what you see on your PC can change once it goes live to the Web. This is particularly important to remember with Regards Mozilla, which most people seem to be using now.

Of course, it goes without saying that you should not have a link that's accessible by anyone else, as you will infringe Copyright Laws. Also, a link will be placed on Search Engine Servers for the page you've created, so it's best to use one of your Own Templates that you have rights to, and don't forget to take it down as soon as possible so that no one links to it.

(June 10) 'Project-101 Almost Live!'

Dear Friends,

You'll be pleased to know that Site testing is almost complete. I've had to re-upload a few Zip Files, and unfortunately I need some sleep...so...I'll be putting the final touches to the Site later today.

Expect, at this stage, to have Project-101 available for Downloading early Monday Morning...all going well! Believe me...it's been worth the wait. You can make some serious cash with this kind of Professional Site and it won't take anywhere near as much work as our Provider Site has.

SO...for now I'm off to catch some winks and we'll speak to you soon.

(June 9) 'Regarding Project-101 Launch!'

Dear Friends,

Well, just another small delay...nothing major though. We've discovered a flaw in the site, which displaces all templates when viewed in Mozilla. Whilst the site works fine in Internet Explorer, it's a bit less co-operative in Mozilla...a problem some of you will have encountered before.

This won't affect anyone who Purchases Project-101, as the pages you will receive as a part of the Project-101 Package are Pre-Formatted. It's a wee bit more difficult when building a main site, as there are more aspects that can go wrong.

So...please give me another day and I should have the problem resolved. If not...rather than delay further I will present you with the Project-101 Package, as you would use it when promoting it, with its respective promo pages and Reseller Packages. You will be able to use our full sister site as soon as we have completed the 'workaround' on the templates!
